Today is the final day of the Hate-Loss Challenge, 2011. As of tomorrow, you can retire the badge you’ve been displaying on your blog for the last month.
I have read every single post, every comment, every word of support that you all have contributed and it’s left me with so much heartfelt emotion, I was unable to put it into words for a post; so, I’m presenting a vlog instead (please don’t let the super-excited psycho look on my face shy you away from watching. I promise, I haven’t gone off the deep end!

Thanks to each and every one of you for making this Challenge the supportive, encouraging, successful event that it was.

I did remember it was your last day and had a ‘my version’ post ready to roll. I was glad to see your video and put a link up also. Very good job. Be proud of yourself. Challenges are a lot of work and you did wonders with this ‘inner workings’ one. I think you opened a lot of eyes to the possibilities.

Ellen – thank you for your kind words. You deserve major support with this challenge because it is (to the best of my knowledge) the first of its kind. There is very little inner change based ‘writing/posts’, let alone activities. Hopefully there will be more ‘inner change’ based insights to come. You are a trail blazer!
You sure opened my eyes! Thanks for hosting this challenge, Ellen. I only really started today, so I’m keeping the badge!
Good for you, Hanlie! Please keep me posted any time you want or need to on how things are going! You’ll get there – we all will
We all love you, Ellen! You are seriously one of the most supportive people I have ever “met,” in cyberspace or in person. Keep losing the hate until you can start a “love gain” challenge, when all the hate is gone and all there is to do is keep loving yourself more and more every day–you DESERVE it!
How can I go wrong with such supportive comments like your, Amalfi? You’ve been so fantastic throughout this whole experience. Thank you so much!
Hooray for Vlogging! Did you ever check mine out?
I’ve loved reading your hate-loss challenge posts and comments – it has definitely helped me too! So thank you!
I can’t believe your H-L challenge has finished. It only seemed like yesterday we started this!
I personally will be carrying on the challenge so every now and then I’ll post an update
Oh and WOOF WOOF WOOOOOOF to the dog
(that means hello in dogland)
I would always welcome and look forward to an ‘update post’, Tim. Big hugs to you for being so supportive and for doing so great on this Challenge.
HI Ellen! Sorry I did not follow up like I was suppose to but I did challenge myself each and every day!
That is all that matters, Steph! Just having the thought there in the back of your mind is all you need. Thank you for being so supportive!
Ellen,
Thank you for putting this challenge out there. It was certainly enlightening. My intention is to keep moving forward with this – to continue to banish automatic negative thoughts from my internal vocabulary. I am also totally stealing the Therapy Thursday idea and plan to move forward with my navel-gazing posts on that day.
Again, this challenge was awesome. I hope others got as much out of it as I did.
Thank YOU, Roxie. I gained so much from reading your update posts. You were very inspirational each and every week. I’m so glad that you feel you’ve gained something from this. Looking forward to reading your Therapy Thursday posts
HAHA that capture is just too funny!
Ellen thanks again so much for coming up with this challenge. It was and is a great idea, and is something I want to keep working at. I also wanted to say that you look so beautiful in your vlog – you are a great inspiration to me!
Hi, Ellie! I loved reading your posts. They were so uplifting and heartfelt (I especially loved your wardrobe one!!) So glad we ‘met’ through this challenge
You are awesome!!!!!!
Have a pretty day!
Kristin
I’m so glad to hear you say you’ve come too far to let this go. That’s a sure sign of real progress and not short-lived enthusiasm. Although I didn’t officially participate, I did so a little on my own. I thought about your posts, read many of the posts of others, and felt so touched by the successes and struggles of others. I identified with some of both. This was a wonderful start for the year, and I look forward to what beautiful things come later in the year.
And hugs to Brulee!!
I’ll give Bru a big hug from you, Michele! Thanks so much for your encouraging and uplifting words. You were there for every single update post and your support was so helpful to me and I’m sure others as well. Special hugs to you
Hello my dear Ellen!
First, love to see your face and hear your voice and you have awesome hair! Love the messy, tousled style and super jealous if you didn’t “do it” …
I have been having one heck of a month and even though I was never able to give an update post, I have been practicing to love myself more and shut my mouth when I want to be mean. I thank you for the Hate-Loss Challenge, can I keep it on my blog? I would love to carry this with me for all of 2011. I have a lot of growing up to when it comes to taking care of myself.
Thank you for helping me realize that I can be nice to myself, no matter what!
It would be an honor to see the badge kept on your blog, Desiree. Don’t give a single thought about not updating. The thought was there in the back of your mind and that is all you needed. What a lovely comment from you. Thank you so much for that – made my day
Ellen, I loved your video! Although I am not yet comfortable about showing my face on my blog (don’t know if I ever will be) I love it when others show videos and photos. I don’t take part in group challenges, only challenges to myself, but I know that many people love them, and it is clear that many enjoyed participating in yours. It was a wonderful idea for a challenge, and I can see that many began changing their negative thinking because of it. Nice work.
